I have recently been more open about me being bisexual. It wasn’t something that I “knew” right away. My past s/a trauma has shed light on the fact that I love both men and women. I grew up in a conservative household so you can imagine that it wasn’t necessarily an “option” growing up. Once I moved out with my partner (who is bisexual), she opened my eyes and heart. I’ve always liked men and women. When I was young and starting to understand the birds and the bees, often I found myself being interested in what men do, but at the same time I was also interested in what the women did. But I was young and sheltered so I had no idea that it was OKAY to like both. I’ve always liked both.
