I'm an English student in Aberdeen, originally from south London. Loving it here... love the course, the uni, the city and the people.
Some say, I am a Dr Who and Top Gear nut with a penchant for theatre and reading lots of books. All I know is, I'm not the Stig.
I absolutely love theatre, and grew up watching musicals. Favourites include Whistle Down the Wind, Les Miserables, Starlight Express and Carousel. Since Whistle Down the Wind is on at HM Theatre, I'm hoping to go see it again if possible.
I read a LOT. Many friends comment upon the insane number of books I actually own. I recently finished Capote's Breakfast at Tiffany's, which I found awesome - now I just need to see the film. Still on my (non-university) reading list is Atonement - ooh, and I must mention: I CANNOT see a film without having read the book first. As such, I haven't yet seen Atonement, much as I would like to.
In terms of films, I'll watch most things really, though I stay away from the Saw films and stuff like that. I do like a lot of stuff from Anna and the King, to The History Boys, to Finding Nemo.
I plan to join the university Navy Unit next (academic) year, it would be nice to take on a challenge. Unfortunately can't join this semester however, as they apparently only take on people at the start of the academic year. Oh well.
