I don't smoke and don't like the habit. I don't drink but have no problem with moderate drinkers. I like eating out, seeing concerts, theatre and movies, as well as quite romantic evenings at home. I'm an atheist/humanist but not totally anti-religious, I'm a member of a Unitarian church. Politically I'm quite liberal. I love reading and discussing all sorts of political and philosophical issues. I am looking for a good old Hollywood romance. Gender is the least important factor.

And one more thing about me. I fell in love with Hawai'i when the U.S. Navy sent me there from 1967-1970. I am passionate about all things Hawaiian, music, history, culture. I read and speak Hawaiian with a fair degree of fluency. I could also just barely survive in Spanish and Hebrew.
